Questions about Dreams Palm Beach

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone!!

I am planning on having my wedding at dreams palm beach in november 2010!

I was wondering about the beach vs the gazebo for the ceremony. Has anyone seen them? Have any pictures?

Is it normally decorated? Do you have to provide your own decorations?

Is it secluded, or does the whole resort see your wedding?

Also-- does anyone have any comments about the world cafe? I was thinking about doing a private cocktail reception and then maybe going to the world cafe with all our guests since it can get so pricey for a private dinner reception!

Any input on flowers? Use the resort? A local florist? Bring them (real touch)?

Any and all information about Punta Cana, specifically Dreams Palm Beach would be sooo greatly appreciated!

Thank you!!!!

are you having a private reception? if so how many guests?
thanks for your help!!!

There is not much planning that we can do until we get down there. We have an idea of what we want but will make all decisions down there. Dealing with Melani has been great! She has gotten back to me right away with any questions. Right now we have about 40 people booked and expecting a few more. We are doing a private dinner/reception just not sure all of the details until we get final numbers.

I am getting married at Dreams Palm Beach in July. I have not been there, but have been able to find lots or pics. Here is a link with tons of pictures that I found on trip advisor:
LIVE FROM Dreams Palm Beach... pictures, photos, and videos, from friends & fun on webshots

There is also a facebook group where you can see more pics Dreams Palm Beach Brides

We are going to have a private reception. A friend of mine also got married in Punta Cana and she said her one big regret is not having the private ceremony.

Good luck

Congrats! I'm also getting married at DPB our wedding is in May. I have seen pictures pretty much in all of the sites mentioned on the answers above. I'm having a beach wedding I don't think there are much decorations you can choose to add but they do charge additionally for thoseor you can bring your own. We will most likely add an arch. We will then have a private cocktail hour since our wedding is at 4pm and then dinner at World Cafe. I opted on not doing a private dinner since we are expecting approx. 50 people. Melani (WC at resort) has been very helpful in answering all of my questions. She said that we could def do dinner at the World Cafe and that she would help me coordinate. As far as flowers - I'm bringing my own real touch bouquet - I want to make sure it matches my colors and don't want to leave it up to chance when we get there. Hope this helps.

Thanks Chelymo!

I'm sort of doing the same thing!! We're doing a beach ceremony at 2:30 and then a private cocktail hour and dinner at the world cafe since were expecting approx the same amount of guests. Where did you get your bridesmaids dresses?

You pay extra for the arch? What about a runner?

I know you said your bringing your own bouquet, but are you getting any flowers down there as well? For decoration or bridesmaids bouquets?

You must be so excited your wedding is only 2 months away!! Good luck. Please send me a review!! Are you guys staying on the island for your honeymoon?

Do you have any other tips or information?

Thank you for your help!!!! Hope your day goes perfect!

The arch is $390, I believe the runner is included in all packages. Since you get a bridal bouquet I will be using the flowers for the ceremony table instead. My bridesmaids (our 3 daughters) will be carrying parasols instead of flowers. I bought their dresses at White House Black Market last year in Sept. I am very excited I can't believe that it's already almost time. We will be arriving on a Thurs and the wedding is on Sat then we will be staying for our honeymoon at the resort for another 6 days and on the way home we are stopping in Puerto Rico for 2 days.

Let me know if you have any more questions on pricing or anything else I would love to help.
