DIY Seashell Ring Holder in Process *opinions!*

Recommended Posts

So im down to D - 7 days!! Im still crafting the DIY's since Im so organized LMAO! After alot of price researching I decided to make my own Seashell Ring Holders since i had to purchase 2 and the ones I loved were over $25 each! After much searching I went to Walmart last night and bought a few supplies that included:

1. 2 Lions Paw Sea Shell $2 each

2. 1/2 yard Polyester Ivory Fabric .70 cents

3. 1/2 yard Polyester Interfacing Fabric .70 cents

4. 1 Fake Flower Bouquet $2.00 - Brings about 6 flowers

5. 1 yard of Ribbon (1 Diamond White, 1 Turquoise Tye Dyed) .34 cents for both

6. Some fake crystals and turquoise flower details $1.00 each

Total= $9.74

With a little love, a hot glue gun and a sewing machine(you can also sew it by hand really easy) this is a mock up of what I got Click the image to open in full size. . I will definitely post pictures once its completely done tonight. This was taken with my celphone smile78.gif. At the moment the pillow is pinned since I ran out of white thread smile72.gif! I still haven't glued the crystals on the shell either but i was going to place one on every crease of the seashell. Also i was going to eliminate the small pink bud on the side of the pillow! Once i saw it in the pic it just didn't seem right!

Opinions are definitely welcome!!

I am working on one for my daughters wedding tonite. Her wedding is this Thursday! I saw someone else on this site that put sand in the bottom of the shell and then had a starfish that laid on the sand. They put the rings on the arms of the starfish - I thought that was a cute idea - love the red flower on yours. Congratulations!

Ok ladies these are the finished product! Everything you see cost less than $14.00 to make. The flower girl basket was a total of $2.00 and the yard of each 1/2 in thick ribbon was $1.00. I placed the faux crystals and pearls in each crease and also on the upper part of the basket to give it a bit of a more fancy touch. Everything used in the basket except for the ribbon and seashells(got them at the beach) was recycled left over materials from the ring holders cheesy.gif!!
