Hey everyone!

I've been reading this forum for days now without registering - reading everyones fantastic reviews of all different resorts I finally decided to join as I am completely and utterly stuck on where to get married and was hoping someone could help!

We got engaged on Xmas day after 6 years together. We really want to go to Mexico to get married (in May 2011) however despite spending every day since Xmas day looking at places, wedding reviews here & trip advisor I still cant find the ideal place!

I fell in love initially with the moon palace however since i've looked at pictures of weddings there and been quite disapointed with so much seaweed on the beach (might be minor to you but I really notice it in the pics)

So if anyone has any suggestions they will be massively appreciated!! I'm looking for

-Mexico (near to Cancun but doesnt have to be right in there)

-Children allowed

-Not masses of seaweed on the beach

-Beach wedding avaliable

Thanks a million !!! prayer1.gif

Hi, Cant really help you loads with your questions but thought id drop by and say hello to a fellow May 2011 bride..... Were looking at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya, Which allows children and beach dosent seem to be seaweedy as im fussy about the sea and that is something i always look for they seem to have a few sandwhales but i think i can cope with these.....

Anyway congrats on the engagement :-) And hope you fnd somewhere soon

Congrats and welcome to the forum! We're getting married at the Gran Porto Real in Playa del Carmen. It also has an adults-only sister resort (The Royal) if some guests prefer that. Anyone staying at the Royal can use all facilities at the Gran Porto.

Good luck planning!

welcome to the site!

take a look at the sub-forum threads under Riveria Maya....some specifically worth checking out are Azul Sensatori or Ocean Coral & Torquesa (depends on your budget!)
