Silly Question

Hello fellow Puerto Vallarta Brides!! I am getting married this June at Le Kliff. Well we plan on doing a spiritual wedding at Puerto Vallarta and applying for a marriage certificate here in the states to save the hassel of blook work and expense abroad. We cant figure out if we should go to the courthouse before or after our wedding. We both agree that our real wedding is on June 12th, but its confusing because if we go to the court house like a month before we will technically be married for a whole month. I feel it may take away from the special day doing it before. AGGHH anyway just wanted to get some input from fellow destination brides. Wondering how you'all are doing it. In the end I know its up to us.

We are doing the same thing, getting married at home first. We are having a JP come to our house the night before we leave to mexicoFeb 27. Our legal ceremony will be 4 days before our symbolic wedding, March 3. We are not telling anyone except our parents( so they can be present) We don't want to take any significance of our "wedding day" away by telling everyone we are legally married.

We wanted to do it before so our 2 dates are close. We will celebrate March 3 as our wedding day.

We are doing our legal paperwork before we leave for PV. We arent telling anyone when the date is(we really dont know when anyway right now). When we have the ceremony in PV it will be the "real" ceremony before our friends and family.

We did it at the courthouse a few weeks before our wedding in PV. Dont remember the date b/c the real wedding was the one in PV. It will work fine like that!
