Wedding Dress is SO uncomfortable

Pain is beauty right? My wedding dress is a corset back and it's SO uncomfortable.

 

I honestly have no idea how I'm going to survive the day in this dress.

 

Last night at the fitting she was tying up the corset and it was getting tighter and tighter and finally I told her to stop. Then we get out to see the seamstress who says "let's make it tighter". She advises me that when the wedding day comes I should put the dress on and then five minutes later make it tighter...OWWW. I told her I honestly have to be careful that I won't faint on the wedding day.

 

I really don't know how girls did it back in the day. Corset dresses are NO fun! No fun at all...

oh no hon that doesn't sound fun at all. you want to look beautiful on your wedding day, but if you're uncomfortable, it'll show in your face and you won't enjoy the day as much. don't let them tighten it sooo much. corsets will give you a great shape even if they're not super tight. my dress is a corset and it's not uncomfortable at all.

Try it again yourself without it being tied has tight, that's the beauty of corset fastening's, you really should'nt fee luncomfortable. Hope it feels morecomfortable for you when it's not fastened as tight.

Just relax in the knowledge that the seamstress wont be there the day of your wedding!! Loosen that puppy up so you're comfortable!! Your FI wants to see you happy and smiling - not gasping for air!!

I had that concern too - the last time I tried on my dress at the store, the owner tied it super tight! I could barely breathe. On my wedding day, my mom and maid of honor didn't tie it as tight so I was pretty comfortable. The worst part for me was sitting down at dinner as the corset really started squeezing my ribs after awhile....good thing we danced after dinner instead to loosen me up again! You'll be fine!!

It's your wedding, make it as loose as you need to be comfortable! And if you feel that it needs to be adjusted during the night, that can easily be done. But no one wants to have to worry about fainting on their big day!

Totally agree with all of the above! You should be comfortable on your day, and by having your dress tied slightly looser, I be you will be good to go!
