July 2010 Brides - How's the Planning Going?

Sheree- our DW will be our anniversary. The civil ceremony in the states was for a matter of convenience and to save some money. I plan on going in shorts and a tee shirt and we're not exchanging rings or anything. Funny, our civil ceremony dates are exactly a week apart!

Yes, that makes sense- we were thinking the same thing. The real wedding wil be our DW. We're also not exchanging rings. I hope this will make me less nervous on the big day! It is funny that our legal dates are one week apart!

I just finished organizing all of the items for our OOT bags. We're not putting the bags together completely until we're down in the DR. And when I say "we" I mean my FMIL (she offered!)...the resort has finally gotten back to me and we're about 1 or 2 emails away from finalizing the details and our bill. My FI's wedding shirt came today along with the GMs' shirts. I picked the father-daughter and mother-son dances last night. Still feel like there's a ton to do...

We are also getting married legally here before we go. City Hall booked for July 9th, actual date is July 21! Its so crazy that its here already!

Wow there are quite a few teachers on here! I have 1 more day with kids then 1 PA day...then its summer!!!!!!! I cant wait so then I can finish the rest of the planning. I am getting so excited

I can't believe my wedding is in 9 days! I am excited, but very nervous! I am hoping that we get the guys pants today. We ordered linen pants from Studio Suits but fiance waited a little too long to get the guys sizes. I know that they have started the shipping process from India, just don't know how much longer it will take! We leave on Sunday so we are cutting it close! I also have to print out the place cards and attach them to the starfish. This process has been more difficult that I expected because I keep getting adds and cancels! Just yesterday I had 2 cancels and 1 add. I can't believe how rude people are! I guess it's easier to do that since our destination wedding is in the Florida Keys and not out of the country, but still you would think people would have their arrangements together by this time!!! Ughh!! I have to give my final numbers tomorrow so I hope I don't have any other changes! I'm just so nervous about forgetting something! Have any of you found packing to harder than normal? So you have all of the wedding stuff, then you need clothes for the week before the wedding, then wedding clothes, then honeymoon clothes! It's a lot of stuff! I just want to get down there, have a margarita and see a sunset, then I will relax! Good luck everyone!

Wow, you teachers that go until the 28th, when do you start school? I work as a school counselor in Chicago Public and thought that we went late (June 18th.)

I had my final day yesterday, but we don't go back till Sept 7! w00t!

It's July 1st and our wedding month!! Stina- same problem here with guests dropping out or adding on last minute, so rude! Other than that it's 4th of July weekend and I'm not doing any wedding planning. Just hanging out at the beach, having drinks, and relaxing. I'll be back to reality on Tuesday and then I will finish packing and pick up our placecards.

I'm finished writing my vows and my part of our speech for the reception! We're mostly packed...just need to pack toiletries and last minute items! I can't believe we leave in 2 days!!!!
