Finally an Official Bride 2 Be!

Our engagement story actually began back in February, when we picked out the ring. That's when I joined the forum, thinking it would be maybe a month or two more. But I’ve been waiting in anticipation for quite awhile! Andrew decided we should take a trip up to Chicago the weekend before Christmas 2009. I was hopeful this was finally the time it would really happen, but didn’t want to get too excited as I had thought it was “the time†several previous times in the year and was disappointed it had never happened.

 

We first went to the Adler Planetarium. It was alright, more his thing than mine, but it was nice. After checking into the hotel, we took off on a walk down Michigan Avenue. They had lights up on the trees and it was snowing lightly but not terribly cold, so it was just beautiful!

 

 

We made our way over to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner. I’m pretty sure we had the best seat in the house. We were right up in the front with a window view of the most gorgeous Christmas tree all lit up!

 

 

After all that delicious food we went out to get a close up view of the tree. That’s when it happened! He’s not the down on one knee with a huge speech kind of guy, so it was just to the point, but it was completely perfect!

 

 

Sooo happy!!!

 

 

And of course, here’s the ring, I love it!

 

 

We also went to see the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. It was really nice but I couldn't stop looking at my ring, ha!
