Still undecided

Hi everyone! I'm getting married spring 2011 and I couldn't be more excited! However, I'm finding it really hard to find the right location for our destination wedding. We want to be somewhere warm (Mexico or the caribbean) but we don't want a huge resort and we don't want to be directly in the sand-maybe a gazebo or lawn with the ocean in the background. It could be because I'm the most indecisive person on the planet...but I'm finding this very difficult!!!

Hi Erin,

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your engagement. What I would do is it get a travel agent. They will be able to tell you the different resorts out there and which are small verses big. where you can have your ceremonty, and everything. Plus you will be able to find out about what it could cost as well at the same time. good luck!

Cogratulations and welcome to the forum! You'll find lots of great information on here to help you make your decisions! A TA will definitely help. You should also make a list of the must haves your FI and you want, just to make it easier to narrow down your choice.

Good luck!

Thanks so much for your advice! We're leaning toward riviera maya because it's so beautiful. Do you have any suggestions for a travel agent that could help us with this area? Also, are there places in riviera maya where we can have the ceremony at a small resort or a nonresort location?

hi Erin,

welcome to the site!

congrats on your upcoming wedding and happy planning!!

you'll find a lot of hotels also have rooftops and/or terraces that you can get married on, rather than the beach (I'm not doing a beach wedding either, but the sea will be in the background!)

Good luck!
