Fuzzy Hair issue

The salon thing could back fire. I went to one explaining what i wanted to do, they said they knew how to handle curly hair. Well let's just say people with naturally curly hair and those with perms are completely different. i think she was either used to perms or people with less curl than mine. I looked like a frizzy poodle by the time she was done. Luckily i did not let her touch it with scissors! :-)

I have tried CHI and it still makes my hair frizz when it is curly...not sure why but it does. Maybe i am doing it wrong, do you use a diffuser and dry it at all?

Redken Smooth Down Serum

Redken Smooth Down -Sleek Obedience

It's a 10 leave n conditioner

Kenra -Shine Spray

I use the leave n conditioner and that help with the smooth. Them I use the serum wet or dry to help smooth out. I keep the Sleek Obedience in my purse and use it through out the day on areas with heavy frizz. Then I use Kenra spray couple times through out the day. I know it seems like a lot but if you have frizzy hair your use to messing with it all the time.

Here is a picture of my hair in my first wedding (yes this is my second...i saved the best for last) Not the best picture as i took a picture of a picture, but it will give you an idea of what i am talking about. THe curls hanging down is what my hair looks like normally. Alhtough my hair is shorter now.

This is my 2nd too and in my first pics my hair is like yours but down to the middle of my back. I have found a great hair comb and head band at Micheal's of all places. My thought is to try some styles out and then find the right hair product - thanks for the tips on your product.

Thanks (these product ideas are just what I need from people who use them), with the serum are you able to style it any way you like?

I can't tell you how many times I've cried leaving a hair salon...I think most curly hair is courser and more managible huh.gif ...I only dry my roots and let the rest air dry to prevent the frizzy look....I don't have layers anymore (just cut in 2 levels) which gives it more weight and holds the straight look better and curls aren't as defined unless I scrunch them up. If that makes sense.

Yes that makes sense. I usually have her cut it straight, in longer layers...and then when I have it curly it is never completely down. I have it either in a ponytail or half up and haf down. It takes too long to straighten my hair everyday and to be honest, if it is humid, rainy, snowy, etc...it is completely pointless to straighten! :-) I have been using a new product for straightening my hair and it works awesome. It does not leave it oily and it looks like i truly have straight hair.

After i get out of the shower i put in Pureology antifad complex, superstraight (it is a relaxing serum...blue container). I only do 1-2 pumps of stuff for my hair, too much will make it greasey looking. Then i completely dry my hair. Then in small sections i spray Sebastian Trilliant thermal protection and shimmer complex. This is awesome...it is made especially for hot flat irons. The girl who does my hair has her iron set at 425 only for my hair and i put mine on as high as it will go...it is amazing stuff!!

It depends on how you are going to style. If you are going to blow dry straight then you need to keep adding the serum as you blowdry. If you are going curly style add in the beginning then add to it when it is dry in the frizzy areas. The only bad thing is you have to practice until you get the right amount for your hair, too little and you still have frizz, too much and your an oily mess! I always start with half a palm size of serum (note take the cap off otherwise you will be pumping for years) then I add as I'm going. Trust me this is the only product I found that works, I have gone through everything.

Yes you do use alot of product but I don't wash my hair everyday and with these products the frizz i not bad the next day and I just add a little serum to the frizzy areas.

The Kenra shine is a god sent! I keep it in my purse all times and the sleek obedience is wonderful for the frizz at your hair line where the baby hairs stick out and you can finally tame them!

PM if you need anymore help -Its a 10 entire conditioner line works wonders on curly hair especially their deep conditioner.

Also never let anyone rasor cut curly hair or do short layers in the front otherwise you'll have puppy ears as layers in the front.
