Wow! Thanks for the information!!! I'm so glad to hear about the Royal Suites - we were going to book ahead of time and upgrade, so you think we should wait? I am so confused, because the FI mom is going to be overlapping on our second week, so we thought at least the upgrade (that is exclusive to other guests at the 3 resorts) would separate us a bit, while also letting us go meet them for dinner a night or two.

What do you think we should do in that case?

Also - the resort photographer would be fine, do you know how I can contact them? I want to know if we can have a trash the dress session a day or two later also ( as well as the ceremony).!

I used the one of the resort Photographer's, Here is a webpage of one of them (Named Peter) JALU PUNTA CANA PHOTOGRAPHY but I used a fellow named Andres Cantera. You can get into contact with their head office here: [email protected], the office guy is names Jose. All the work I saw from any of the photographers was great and my Husband (an avid hobby photographer) was impressed too).

I thought about doing a TTD session, but then my dad got sick and could not come to the wedding, so I wanted to save my dress to wear for him later. I believe the cost is the same as a typical photo session (info on the website above). So it is very possible.

I would not recommend upgrading to the Royal suites ahead of time. If you want your own space ask about transferring to another resort section. They are as follows: Bavaro, then Punta Cana and then the Palace, then the Royal suites. So you can still find a far away section and as long as your FI mom is not one of those people who is going to spend hours hunting you down you won't get to see her much, it's a huge resort. I expect a trade between sections like this is something you can decide once you get there. Find out if you are being upgraded for no charge, and if not ask about changing sections for your 2nd week.

Great!! thanks for the info!! After spending the last 3 days with her though, my FI has decided that transferreing to Dreams Punta Cana is a much better idea for the second week!! No complaints here!! lol
