Is there a resort that allows non hotel guests to come to the wedding?

Recommended Posts

I have been looking around to find a resort in cancun that allows guests who are not staying at the hotel to come for the wedding. Most of them charge a fee but some are very expensive. The cheapest one i think it's THE ROYAL cancun...have you girls come across any locations that charge a reasonable fees? a group of my friends want to rent a villa and share among themselves (it's waaayyy cheaper although not all inclusive), so I want to know how much extra I have to pay for them to come.

the iberostar tucan (playa del carmen) DOES allow outside guests, but they have to pay a day pass fee. It's about $60 for all day, and it includes all they want to eat/drink/etc.

this day pass fee for someone invited to a wedding is less than it would be for just a random guest.

We're getting married at the Ocean Turquesa, which charges $70 per person to come for the day. But they also provide an additional room the day of the wedding (technically for the groom to get ready in and use for the day), however my fiance will be getting ready with his parents, my parents will be in our room and we are offering the extra room and my parents room to guests not staying at the hotel. We really want them to come and enjoy the resort for the day & its all inclusive drinks, food & activities. Because our wedding doesn't start until 4pm, they have lots of time for fun at our resort.

Hope that helps!

I've only looked into AI's too, and all I have found is wristbands/daypasses need to be purchased and thats anywhere from $50-$100? With Riu I have found this harder with the policy of having 80% of the guests staying there in order to have the wedding at all! This policy is driving me insane!

I had this problem last year when deciding where to book, after lots of searching, i found that Dreams was the only one that didn't charge...the guests are not allowed to arrive more than an hour before, but it works out way cheaper than all the other hotels.

Good luck!
