Which version of "A Christmas Carol" is your fave?

I had the TV on last night while I was making dinner (okay, I was waiting for the Chinese food delivery guy), and "Mickey's Christmas Carol" was on. It occurs to me that off the top of my head I can think of at least half a dozen versions of "A Christmas Carol":

 

1. The classic B&W version with Alistair Sim

2. The more recent classic version with George C. Scott

3. The even more recent (probably doesn't qualify as a classic yet) with Patrick Stewart

4. The Muppet's Christmas Carol

5. Mickey's Christmas Carol

6. Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol

 

There are a couple of others, too, called Scrooge or something like that.

 

For me, no holiday season is complete without at least 2-3 viewings of a Muppet Christmas Carol, but of the actual movie there's a schism in my family between the George C. Scott version (Dad and I) and the Alistair Sim version (my sis and bro). My mom loves them all, my hubby likes whichever is the shortest.

I'd have to say Mickey's. I just remember always watching that one right before xmas when i was growing up. So that one stands out to me. Ive only seen the muppet one like once and dont really remember it. i'll have to look for it on tv this year.

oh man, how could you leave out Scrooged - the one with Bill Murray!!!!!!!!! That's definitely on my list! Otherwise I have to go with the Muppet's version. Any muppets classic will make my list

Love the one with George Scott (it's on right now!) and the one with Patrick Stewart. However I must say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE A Christmas Carol. I watch it every single year without fail and everyone makes fun of me

It's cold out, the tree is lit, and I'm on the couch sipping eggnog watching this movie, my idea of Christmas time!!

my fave is a toss between the two Allistair Sim versions (B&W and color) and a made of tv version called "Ebbie" starring Susan Lucci!!
