just saw this on slickdeals.net & thought people would be interested.

newegg is a great company so don't be worried about ordering from them. my husband does all the time. maybe a little too much.

Oh & I didn't read through the entire post on slickdeals, but it looks like people figured out the rebate deal was legit, because it was posted on the front page of slickdeals as $26. One great thing about slickdeals, is people test a deal out to see if it's good so you can buy with more confidence. Only the best makes the front page.
