So here's my question to all you brides: DID ANYONE THINK THE CAKE WAS WORTH IT?

I know I didn't and the desserts that came with the buffet were actually more than we even needed. It seems like that is one of those things that keeps popping up in everyone's list of "could have done without!"
I think my cake was totally worth it! My best friend made my beautiful cake and my grandmother made the groom's cake, that alone made the cake one of the most special parts of my wedding.

How did you transport your cake???????? One of my friends wants to make our cake but I can't foresee how she could do this when we are marrying in Jamaica.

I know this is a little random for this thread BUT...HELP ME PLEASE confused.gif

Getting married at Dreams Los Cabos next month and I can't decide what aisle decorations I want (and can afford). Does anyone have suggestions or can tell me what they used or did in that area? Everyone keeps telling me I don't need much since it's so beautiful already but I'm not convinced lol

My wedding colors are coral and grey. I have 5 bridesmaids and my fiance has 5 groomsmen. The ladies are wearing long coral dresses and the guys grey suits. Bridesmaids will be holding white bouquets and I will have coral color rose pedals down the aisle.

Don't know what else I really need.

HELP!

It honestly doesn't sound like you need much more!! I'm on the flight right now heading home from my wedding and I can tell you that lugging all my decor down was a pain (although worth it financially) and at the end of the day nobody is going to remember my decor and the man in a speedo helped steal the show when he decided to stand behind us crying! Don't stress the small stuff...the scenery will be so beautiful and the simple petals will have an impact!

Hahahahaahaha....I love that you had a crying man in a speedo at your wedding. You can't pay for great memories like that! :)

Thanks for that tip. I keep seeing past brides say something similar and it's now getting through my head, so I'm not going to worry about too much decor, especially for the ceremony.

Now...PLEASE tell us more about the man in the speedo crying?? (When you're back home and settled of course)

I agree with the girls....I want something simple cuz I do think that the scenery will be gorgeous in itself.  I have chosen to just put palm tree leaves to create a isle with two large arrangements of flowers at the end and a smaller arrangement on the table where we are going to sign our Marriage Certificate. I will also have the chairs decorated with blue sashes... Here are a couple of pictures from where I got my inspiration.

700

....and a man in speedos crying, lol....can't wait to hear about that
