Adults Only? How To Tell Family/Friends w/ Kids?

i was a little nervous about it too at first. but honestly i think be straight forward is best! and it's true that i may miss out on a couple of friends b/c of their kids, but we've gotten an overwhelming response and people seem to LOVE that it's adults only.

it must be a hard conversation, but it's your day and i think honesty is the best policy. maybe something like another poster said 'we want you to come and have fun and have a break'

Wow good for all you ladies who are upfront and honest about it being your day and your way. I commend you...I just wasn't able to do it. I had a hard time finding the right resort that was family friendly and came this close to telling everyone NO KIDDOS. I'm sure most of them would have understood but we really didn't want anyone to feel like they couldn't come. We are only expecting new borns to about 1.5 years olds and now they are telling me they could leave the baby with grandma?! Oh well. Too late now!
