Treasure chest - ring box

Hi everybody, I wanted to share with you what I did for my ring bearer. we had our son be the ring bearer, and he is really into pirates right now. I really wanted him to be excited about the wedding so my solution was to tell him he had the job of carrying our treasure chest. Well sure enough that did it. He not only loved the box (I loved how it turned out too!), he would not give up ownership of it any point in time. Even now he has it in his room.

 

I wanted something a little different and since our son had a love of pirates and we were going to the caribbean to get married I thought it would be perfect to have the rings brought up in a treasure chest. I found a plain wooden one at Michael's, for just over a dollar! Brought it home and painted it up! I love the way it turned out
