Mom just told me she HATES my shoes with my dress :( *Pics

Ok ladies, honest opinions needed here. I love my shoes and my mom just said that she didn't want to hurt my feelings but she HATED the shoes with the dress.. she loves the shoes, but not WITH the dress. I wanted heels, (I can wear heels to dump the garbage) but I didn't want to sink in the sand so I thought the espadrilles would be a great option. I plan on changing into jeweled flats for the reception. What do you think of the the wedding shoes?

I love the shoes and I love your dress, but IMHO I wouldn't pair the 2 together...

 

However, it is YOUR day, and how much of the shoe will you really see? I say go for it and wear what you like and will make you happy

I totally love your dress, it's beautiful and you look stunning. If I have to be honest, I agree that I don't like the pairing of the dress with the shoes. It is your day so I say go with what you want. Most people won't see the shoes anyway.

Honestly - I think they look great and I think you are right - they will be great in the sand. I personally would wear them because I think you will be most comfortable with them in the sand. You won't see the actual shoe - its all about what is the most comfortable for you...go for it!

I just went through the EXACT same thing with my a couple of friends!! I have pink stilettos for everything AFTER the sand, but I found these cute wedges just for the sand. No one will see them, but my friends strongly suggested against them......I know they don't go, but I would love to wear them elsewhere, and for the ceremony, they would be on for a max of 30 minutes!!

 

It's funny, because we have a very similar dress (as discussed in a prev thread) and we are getting the same reaction from these darn sand shoes!

 

I say go for it. I haven't purchased yet, I'm still on the fence. It is your day, and if you love them (they are fab BTW) then rock em!! Pronovias girls in wedges!!!

I agree with the other ladies and your mom! I love both the dress and the shoes, but wouldn't wear them together. sorry, just think they don't compliment the dress. You look beautiful in the dress!

Those shoes are cute but I agree with most of the other girls and have to say change the shoes. However, if you are able to get them dyed white, they would totally match and look awesome with the dress. Is that a possibility?
