Oh hun my heart is just breaking for you... You know from expereince that the care in the hospitals in these country's are not near on parr with ours. You have to stay strong and move forward as much as it hurts, your dad would be totally heartbroken if you don't. You have his love and support in your heart to take with you. We'll all be here for you cheering you on on your special day. Big Hugs

What can I say that others haven't already so eloquently said? Big cyber hugs to you. I think the most important thing to focus on at this time is that your dad is somewhere safe, where he can get better so he can share many more important moments with you in the future. Because there will be many more moments. I know a wedding is a big deal between a daughter and father, but there are other ways you can share this moment later. Have someone videotape the day and when you get back, have a special dinner with your dad and you guys can watch the tape and have your dance then.

(((hugs))))

Try to be happy!

I went to visit him again yesterday evening, he's drugged up, but better. He had a good sleep, which is what he needs. He has hardly slept at all in the past 3 weeks, and it's incredible how damaging that can be to an otherwise solid, logical mind.

I also learned that's it's not anxiety about the wedding that brought this on, just some stuff at work and how (as usual) he took on far too much on himself. At least I don't have to feel guilty that I did this to him.

my Fi suggested we take pictures of the ceremony site, restaurant and post dinner party place, email them to someone who is visiting my dad and let him give his suggestions for decorations and set up. He is a designer, so this will mean a lot to him. Friends are lending us a video-camera, so we will be recording the ceremony, in fact the whole day and parts of the week leading up to it.

I'm seeing him again today after I et my mani, pedi and waxing. He wants to know what my hands will look like since I've never had a mani before. I'm bringing him some art supplies too.
