Hi Everyone...my name is Amber & my love's name is Chris. We got engaged 2 months ago while we were vacationing in Florida!! We plan on getting married on Jan. 1st 2011 at the Riu Montego Bay in Jamaica, however, we heard we aren't allowed to book until Feb because of the airlines (the airlines don't have flight prices because of the oil prices, so the resorts won't let us book because they don't know if their is a flight). Has anyone else run into an issue like this? It's driving me crazy because we want to book so bad!!

Congratulations on your engagement. I went to the Riu Montego Bay last September and loved it. That is actually why we are planning our wedding for the Riu Ocho Rios. We are planning a May 2011 wedding and we were told nothing can be booked til March 2010. Guess we just have to wait. It will go so fast anyway. Good luck with all your planning.
