In the end its personal preference, but from someone who has done the traditional wedding at home 10 years ago....I say do a Destination Wedding!! I should have done that at my first wedding for sure. I just cant justify spending over $10,000 on a day. Atleast now Im spending under $6000 for a wedding and honeymoon and the plus side is I get two weeks of vacation in a hot destination vs only one. Plus its cheaper and is so much more fun. The downside...is the amount of attendees. Not everyone will be able to afford to come or get the time off work..but other then that - I say go for it!

Hi! A destination wedding isn't for everyone, but if it's something that you decide to do than it will be great! Have fun looking at all the places to go, and use this forum as much as possible, it really has a lot of great information on it!

It all depends on what kind of wedding you'd like. I want as few frills as possible so it was the perfect option for me.

Destination weddings are the way to go. They are definitely the trend now. I chose to have a destination wedding for many reasons, cheaper, easier to plan, less stress, smaller, more intimate, honeymoon included, etc. I'm sure you'll find lots of great info on this forum if that's what you chose to do!
