MNH....ugh im going thru kind of the same thing!! Every post office near me is out of pretty 20 cent stamps!! I know its not a big deal but I just want it to look nice and the 20 cent stamps are hideous! Its funny bc a fellow BDW member pointed out to me that "no once cares about the details of you wedding but you" but I disagree! lol
It is probably true though that no one will even notice but us and the other friends I've invited who are planning their own weddings.

And OMG so sorry about your flights carolina24. We are flying Delta but I should probably check on my guests' flights...And thanks for your pics mrs.timpone. You have inspired me...to look for more DIY centerpiece designs and to learn how to post images. OK, here goes.
great job on posting!! those centerpieces are great and i know how you feel about invitations, all that folding and we punched holes in ours and threaded the ribbon through...crazy!!!

I took them yesterday to be mailed, and I was told that whoever had weighed and figured out the postage on Saturday was wrong and that I needed an extra 20cents on each one. My only option was to have UGLY NON-MATCHING 10 cent stamps added on. sad.gif The ladies at the post office yesterday were so nice though and made three phone calls about whether I could get away without the extra postage (the extra postage had to do with the thickness of the envelope and not being able to go through one of the sorting machines). They felt so bad that someone had given me the wrong info that one of the postal workers took all of my invitations and said she would go sit and add on the extra stamps to all 80 of them so that I wouldn't have to do it. Not a total disaster, but I was a bit upset that I had spent time getting really nice stamps to go on there and I had to have random stamps added on too.
OMG!!!! this is EXACTLY what happened to me. i had the wedding rings stamp and was told that's all we needed then come to find out i needed like 20 more cents!!! they have a .64 stamp that is a wedding cake but we'd already put all the stamps on! UGGGHHH i was so upset, we ended up buying the same ring stamps and just having the extra postage!!
ooh AND ontop of that, when i was trying to buy the extra ones, the lady told me they were on backorder and it would take SEVERAL weeks WTF!!! i ended up ordering them online!

Hi mnh1983. Yes, I wouldn't worry too much about the look of the stamps on the OUTSIDE envelope. At first, I was using two wedding ring stamps and overpaying postage until the post office ran out. Pictures!

Now, I am using two 10 cent stamps with a 61 cent cake stamp in between (exact postage).

Remember that the post office is going to plaster the hideous postage paid marks across those very pretty stamps. So they are going to end up looking a hot mess anyways by the time they are received. How do I know this? Well…two of mine were returned for “no such address†and I was pretty horrified at how the stamps looked on them…not to mention the tattered, dusty envelopes that were once so crisp-looking.

Very lovely dress mrs.timpone. cheer2.gif

My fitting isn't until August so no pictures yet. Plus, I think my FI lurks on this site so I'm not sure if I would want him to see me in The Dress yet. I can, however, post a very picturesque description:

"Any bride will be resplendent in this exquisite re-embroidered Alencon lace on tulle gown. The sweetheart strapless bodice flows into an A-line skirt. Tiny pearls and crystals are lightly sprinkled over the entire gown and through the beautiful hem lace. In the back below the hip, the fabric gathers at the top of the chapel train, creating a beautiful effect. A separate matching veil may be ordered in any length to complement this gown. The perfect portrait of a bride! A-Line/Modified A-Line Silhouette.â€
