I’m just starting to look into invitations and save the dates, and I have so many questions. Can anyone help?

We have chosen the week of Nov. 21st 2010 to get married. We are inviting roughly 100 people, but only expecting 35 to come. We are planning on sending out the STD’s after I get back from the site inspection (Dec eighteenth). Based on the amount of RSVP’s we get, we will know how many rooms we need to put down a deposit for. These are my question regarding save the date etiquette.

How long should we give our guests to RSVP for our Save The Dates? The resort will be pricy so I don’t want to put too much pressure on everyone.

Should we book the resort before or after sending out the STD's?

Should our wedding website be set up before we send out the save the dates, and should all travel info be on the website even though we aren't putting the deposit down until after we RSVP's for the STD's?

Should we let everyone know what resort we are getting married at in the save the dates with rates or should we leave that info for the website?

Should we mention that we are having a party for everyone at home after we get back from the destination wedding in the save the dates?
