Question about Jamaica and wedding witnesses

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know what the exact rules are for Jamaica regarding witnesses for the wedding. How many do you need if they are needed? And how many days in advance do they have to arrive at the resort. Any insight on this question would be helpful. Thanks so much!

Riu has a separate website with FAQ's for weddings. You can find that answer on this page:

Wedding Packages by Destination. Honeymoon Holidays. Weddings by Riu

How many days in advance do we have to be at the Resort before we can get married?

Jamaica: The bride, groom and witnesses (if required) need to be at the destination at least two days prior the Civil, Religious or Renewal of vows ceremonies. (Arrival day and Sundays do not count as business days)

We needed 2 witnesses at ROR, but you should check with the WC at RMB just to be sure.
