is it normal to have no idea...

Recommended Posts

I tried on ALL kinds of dresses and found nothing I liked (so stressful!). But what I didn't realize was that I wasn't looking for "THE dress" at first... I was figuring out what kind of dress I wanted. My advice is to try that, and not stress about experimenting for a few appointments. You'll be able to narrow it down eventually.

Good Luck.

I bought a dress and I'm still not sure it's THE dress. :-) I think it's that way only because what I had pictured in my head is no where near what I actually ended up with... and there was no neon sign that popped up and started flashing "I'm the one, pick me". There are so many dresses and so many are similar, it can certainly be overwhelming. Like everyone else said, jump in and start trying on dresses. You'll find something... or maybe several.

What you are going through is completely normal and okay. I agree and was going to say the same. You should definitely start trying on several different types of gowns until you find the one. Welcome the consultant's help in regards to styles that they feel work for you and compliment your body type.
