Rates for guests

We are planning on getting married at the Lindo in August 2010. We haven't officially reserved our date, waiting to hear back from the WC. I have a question about your guests booking their flight. we are using a TA that is using Funjet, she said there is no way to reserve a rate, we have to wait till each guest puts down their deposit. Is this how its been with everyone else? Have your guests said anything about rates increasing?

I've been told the same thing. I was under the impression that my guests could get a package that included the room and airfare but I was told that they either had to pay in full or I could reserve a group rate on the airline but each person would have to pay $75-$100 deposit depending on which airline we fly on.
