Still Need a cheap TTD?

Has anyone actually purchased from them? How was the quality? Obviously it's a knock off so expect what you pay for right? But still, I want the dress to look fairly nice!

My dad is a tailor so if any alterations needed to be made he could go in there and do them BUT I'm worried the craftsmanship may be really bad... what do you guys think? huh.gif

GMac - there is a pretty popular thread of girls who got knock-off dresses for their wedding or TTD shoots on BDW you might wanna check out if you're interested.

I'm a little leery about the knock-off route though, I feel like we're paying a fortune for wedding photos, so we need to make sure we look damn good in our dresses too, right msnwink.gif

Some people have had good luck with replicas, others have not.  I'm finicky and can tell by the look of materials that dresses were replicas, or made of fabric from David's bridal.  There's something different about the way it photographs.  In the end every bride looks beautiful, but I'd personally go with a designer dress at a decent price rather than gamble with a replica from China.

I'd say if you want to go the knock off route, find the actual dress and try it on first. This might help you with sizing. I couldn't believe how different my size was based on the designer I was trying on. Then you might have a better idea of the fit even though it's a knockoff. You are so lucky your dad is a tailor! Perfect!

If you want to go the knock off route, DO NOT TRY ON THE ORIGINAL! The knock off dresses made are based on pictures, not the actual patterns that the designer has. There will be differences and you may end up disappointed. Try on dresses with similar shapes to make sure it suits your figure. Most of the dresses are custom made to your measurements, get proper professional measurements and send those instead of just a basic size selection. If you try on the original and fall in love with that, either pay full price, try to find a sample, or buy a used version. You wouldn't settle for a man that's pretty close to your FH, so why would you settle for a similar dress. Keep an open mind and try not to stress about late shipping.

P.S. Don't be surprised if your dress arrives in a tiny package wrapped in a plastic bag. That's why they make steamers and irons.

No worries! I will still need to try on dresses in the same shape/style anyway!! We'll see how it ends up! I'm probably going to order from Babyonline and just be very forgiving with the measurements - hopefully Dad can take in anything that needs to be taken in!
