Congrats Sadie, and welcome to the forum.

One thing we did when we began our planning was to check out different tour operators price books for the current year. That way, you might be able to get a general idea of resorts in your price range. Then talk to you TA about when he/she might be able to start requesting prices on the resorts you are interested in. Group rates are always available.

Congratulations! Punta Cana is beautiful! One of the ladies I work with went there a few years ago and the pictures she brought back were gorgeous! There is supposed to be a new all inclusive that was just finished a month ago that is supposed to be first class. I agree that making a list of what you are looking for in a hotel will help in narrowing it down. I think that they will start having prices around March 2010 for the next year. I'm sure that it will be an incredible wedding!
