Hi everyone!

 

My name is Lucy, FI is René and we hail from the Big Apple, NYC. We are in the planning stages but at warp speed. We have chosen the Majestic Colonial in Punta Cana, DR; just waiting to hear if the date we have chosen, June 26, 2010 is available.

 

We planned on a big to-do but due to my illness (ESRF) finances are tight - bright idea Destination Wedding. I'd appreciate any advice in all aspects of planning from future brides, past brides who have gone this route. I'm using DestinationWeddings.com.

Be careful working with DestinationWeddings.com. A few brides have had great things to say - but I thought they were horrible and had to fire my lady after a few weeks. BUT, good luck with your planning. You'll find a ton of great stuff here in the forums.

Congratulations and Welcome! I am also using destinationweddings.com and LOVE them! My coordinator has been so helpful! We are getting married at Paradisus Punta Cana on June 24, 2010 so we will probably be there at the same time! Happy planning, let me know if there is anything I can do to help!

Thank you all for the kind words. At destinationweddings, my coordinator is Barbara. She's so cool, friendly and helpful. As of yet we are still waiting for word from WC at Majestic. As soon as I get details, I'll post.
