Congratulations! I think the Riviera Maya is a great place to get married and more affortable for your guests. One thing you want to do is send Save the Dates out as soon as possible if your planning to have people come since May - June is 6 months away.

 

Also if you need a travel agent you can go to Wedding Destinations and Planning | Destination Weddings .com and they are very helpful and will book travel for your guests. They also have information about resorts on their website and they can help you choose the destination that works best with your needs.

Congrats and welcome to the forum! I would pick where you want and worry about the guests later! I am getting married in Aruba and all the resorts have areas overlooking the beach without being on it. I would pick a location and then get info on all the resorts.
