Single people travelling/staying at the MP

just shows it's worth shopping around, the best quote i had a few days ago was £2879 for 10 nights, i've got it down to £2350 now!! brilliant!

Having the exact same probs as you. However the single person is my dad, how awful is that, he is torn between paying £3000 $5000 for a single room to see his daughter get married. There is absolutely know one else to share with him that is suitable. Not really fair for me to ask him to pay that, looks like I'm getting married without my dad.

We had a similar situation during a previous trip. There were 9 of us travelling so we just added up the total of 4 double occupancy rates plus the single occupancy and divided it by 9 people and that's what we each paid. It wasn't the ideal situation, but we really wanted our friend to come and none of us minded adding a little bit to our original total.

 

Maybe you have some family members including yourself that may want to do this. Having him stay at a different resort/hotel may be slightly cheaper, but you still have to consider the cost of transfer to/from the resort daily plus the fact that your uncle's gonna be 'totaly' by himself at a different location. Definitely a tough situation...Hope everything works out )

what i did in the end was get quotes from lots of different ta's and play them off against each other. in the end i paid £2360 for 10 nights at the MP for my uncle, which isn't bad (considering original quotes were £2900)
