HAs anyone stayed at BEaches sandy bay?

I am getting married at BEaches negril but they do not have any more rooms available for my guests on my wedding days so most guests have to stay at BEaches sandy bay. I have seen mixed reviews on tripadvisor? HAs anyone stayed there who can tell me what its really like?

I have not stayed at Beaches Sandy Bay, but I did walk past it on the beach. It is a small resort, but I am sure it is up to Sandals/Beaches service standards even if it is a little more outdated. The other thing to keep in mind is that your guests will probably not spend much time in their rooms, and there is a shuttle that runs between Sandy Bay and Beaches Negril on the hour, so they can come over when they would like. It is only about a 20-minute walk between the two along the beach.

I am just a little annoyed that my TA did not tell me that Jan is a busy month and that I should reserve a block of rooms.

I'm considering Beaches Negril now for my location, but I am certain some of my guests will book Sandy Bay since it is less expensive (or Sandals Negril to get away from all of the kids). I was thinking of telling everyone to bring a walkie talkie for easy communication, so there is an option for you if you think it would work well for you.
