Samantha 262 - I would forward the email confirmation received stating the date was booked if that specific date means alot to you. Otherwise, I would try to see an alternate date within the week of my stay!!  Best of luck.

Hi Ladies

Has anyone purchased wish lanterns for their wedding?  I REALLY want to have these as a part of our day. 

 

Where have you purchased them?  

 

We would also like to put bubba keg mugs in our OOT bags with the lanterns. 

Anyone know where to buy bubbas in bulk?  Looking for at least 30 of them :)

 

 

I FINALLY heard back from my first email to the wedding planner.  Her name is DIANDRA....had anyone dealt with her before?

Her title is "assistant wedding planner 2"

 

I sent her an email asking her a few questions, but she seemed so adamant about the payment and deposit, my wedding is 9 months away.

I know I have to pay a deposit, i just wanted some of my questions answered.

My TA just spoke with the wedding organizers there on Friday, March 15th. That day, they gave me a wedding date of December 05, 2013 @ 3 pm.  But, I had to re-schedule it as I want to have the private reception venue and it was not available on the 5th.  So...since I had to give up that date and time, perhaps you can get it now!!!

 

Also...the WC told my TA that in order to have the private reception venue (which I have to pay for!), I MUST have a minimum of 45 guests.  Have any of you past brides been told this?  My TA also said that if I don't meet that minimum, they may move my venue.  I think that's a bit over the top, especially if I am willing to pay for this.  Any comments or advice??

Hi Ladies! For those that have reserved 2014 dates, were you able to choose a package yet? I have my budget worked out but I'm nervous that the package prices might be higher for 2014. I'm a planner and It drives me crazy to not have all the info lol I've booked my date for may 19,2014 at 4pm, any previous may brides think that's a good time for a ceremony? I was hoping to have the dinner start at 7 at the piscis. Chandlyn has said it's all reserved so I hope it's all good. I'm so happy to have this forum, it's been so helpful!

Everytime I email them someone new responds...stephany, deandra, chadlyn, some guy I spoke with on phone when I finally called, cause I was getting confused but nobody has asked me for money or deposit yet. I should ask about that cause I don't want them giving away my date. They gave away my date twice already then I canceled because I found out easter was that week...so I have to reschedule y week. As far as the reception....should I book the restaurant I want now for April 2014 or is it to early?

I would say book the restaurant now if you can. I am under the impression that may ceremony and reception is booked for may 2014 however like you I haven't been asked for any deposits (I did have to fill out a wedding form though). I'm going to email Chandlyn now to make sure they have me booked!

January 15th 2014!! - We'll be at the resort from the 11th to the 18th. Maybe we'll see you there!
I'm planning my wedding in jamaica on January 2014 as well and I'm considering this resort as well but I haven't made up my mind yet!! Do you have any pictures or info about the wedding packages and locations!!

JayKay - I think you might be right..and being that I am so close...I'll email Chandlyn to let her know. In today's day and age of people being so picky about what they eat, you would think their menu would be more detailed.  I'm just happy we have this website..otherwise, I would be so lost.    Thanks again by the way!!

I have asked for the package prices and havent heard anything back.  I really hope they are the same as the 2013 packages.

I have been told my date and time are booked but they havent made me sign anything and no one is getting back to me about the restaurants and what I can choose from or the times that are available.  I hope I hear something soon.  I have also booked at 4pm and wrote back and asked for 3pm because I was scared that it would be really rushed after for pictures and setting up and refreshing before dinner.   It seems far away but I booked early to make sure I have all the times I want because I really dont want an 11am ceremony!!!

If you hear anything please share :)
