Hey ladies .. Well I was about to send the deposit until I thought the same thing. I actually just got ripped off by a seller in china (for something not wedding related) and lost $65 and there's nothing I can do about it! Ugh! This also happened the same day my car got broken into .. Sooooo needless to say I was having a horrible day and thought to myself .. I'm NOT sending money to anyone without proper documents. He told me the same thing about how the invoice would be redone after the deposit .. But I told him I wanted it now .. So I got something a little more legit .. So then I sent over my 40%. By no means do I think he is going to rip me off .. I just think it's because he's "up and coming" and not as established compared to other business owners. BUT it's always better to be safe then sorry

However, if she will be staying until the ceremony, you will be required to purchase the wedding pass for her.  Now when she says wedding pass I am assuming the $20 for an additional person but I think I will verify that to make sure.

Hey, I booked Rashel today. I paid $741 CND for hair and make up for me, 3 bridesmaids, MIL and my mom, that includes trvel. works out to be about 45 each for makeup, 70 for hair each. I hope she is reliable, I sent the money in full, as she requested. Fingers crossed!

So we got our rates back from the TA and......eeekkkkk!!! $1955 for one week and $3200 for 2 weeks!!!!!!! This was ALOT more than we thought it would be, but the Fiance and I agreed that we would still pick this resort if it was $2000 or under, $2000  was our max.Our friends got married in mexico in May of 2011 and we paid $1800 for 2 weeks, so we are pretty worried that all of our same friends are going to be pretty upset about these rates(fingers crossed, the rates go down before we sent out invites!) Our TA is amazing and keeps us updated on everything, she says it may go down, but we cant book anything until mid feb because the airline may stop operating out of edmonton in 2013, so we will have to wait and see. I would just love to know now, so I can get started on my STD while I dont have a huge couseload for school. 

 

And congrats to all the brides with their weddings coming up, cant wait to hear all the details!

I had my hair trial the other day and fell in love with how my hairdresser did my hair.  She was supposed to be coming along with me to do my hair for my wedding, but unforseen circumstances have prevented that.  I'm really hoping the ladies at the spa can replicate it.

OMG Linzy, that is crazy.  Our TA figured we'd pay a max of $1500 CAD, flying direct from Detroit and that's what we have mentioned to some of friends and family already.  Really hope he doesn't give us pricing that high when it comes available in March, or I think the amount guests we figured on having is gonna go down   and I figured on sending my STDs in the few weeks.
