Any Gran Bahia Principe Runaway Bay Brides out there?

Recommended Posts

She is a local in Jamaica, actually lives in Kingston but will travel anywhere. Heres her Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/MAKE.UP.ARTISTRY.JAMAICA Her email is [email protected]. She airbrushed me, two of my bridesmaids, my mother and my lady in waiting. As far as our hair, my mother is a hairstylist so she took care of all of us. I only sent my husband to the spa to get a manicure (which was $35) other than that, we didn't use the spa.

Where did you find this make-up artist?  Is she at the resort?  Did you girls get your hair done at the resort spa?

I honestly don't think it's a "Jamaica" mosquito issue, Mosquitos have been bad all around it hot humid areas this year. They have been real bad here in Atlanta also, I had to get the pest control folks to spray our back yard. I frequent jamaica and never had issues before, but it's not just at gran Bahia.

Are the mosquitos bad all year? I am getting married end of November and absolutely cannot stand mosquitos!

Tekeya: Did you have to pay the $75 day pass fee for Rashel to come onto the GBP property?  How did you find the makeup?  Did it stay on all night despite the heat?  Would you recommend other brides use Rashel's services?  Thanks in advance for all of you help :)

I can only answer your 1st question.. You only have to pay for a day pass if the person not staying at the resort is eating, attending the wedding etc. If they are simply just coming to your room to perform the service you don't have to pay for a day pass.

Hi ladies! I am new to the site and I am also getting married at the GBP, and now I am SOOOOO scared! All the good things sound great .. but the bad things sound horrible! Like roaches (OMG), and a rude wedding coordinator (Donnalee). It took me long enough to actually pick a resort. Being in charge of picking a place for all your family and friends to spend their vacation and their money on is a harsh reality to have on your shoulders. undecided.gif I mean its booked for us, and everyone knows this is where its going to be, so I guess now its just working with what we have. But I am def nervous now, not only about the resort but about everything.

Cupcake & Mrs. Johnson, you guys are amazing! The time you have taken to write everything you have for everyone is great, thank you so much! Also both of you looked GORGEOUS on your day, and the wedding itself looked amazing. And all of your pre-wedding planning with bags and decorations and everything else is such a big help. After seeing all of your posts from start to finish, I am nervous! I hope I can pull it off too!

Hi! Actually you are supposed to pay 75 for any guests coming off the resort but not for the vendors that come and go. All my vendors stayed all day, but rashel left after the last photoshoot before the reception. She refreshed my makeup that one last time. I lucked up, and they did not charge me the 75 for any of my vendors nor did they charge me for my singer who stayed off the resort. The hotel did try to charge me for Rashel but when I told them that Chandlyn was aware that she was coming to do our makeup, they let it slide. The vendors eat also, so you have to let Chandlyn know up front whose who Rashel brought the makeup and did my girls lashes...so I didn't have to find anything. The makeup stayed on all night, but it did rub off on my husband's suit during pictures but not much. I would recommend her
