I think since you have those all columns at the venue..play up on the shape with the tie used in pic#1, I think it will look great and different from what is typically used for a chair tie. IMO its a better choice for the venue.. I am sure whichever you choose, it will be beautiful.

#1 is really unique, but for the look you are trying to achieve I would go with #2!
