Shocking price of bouquet!!!!

Hi everyone,

 

I recently emailed my WC at the moon palace to get a quote for my bouquet.

 

I wanted cymbidium orchids, peonies, fushia lillies and calla lillies. The quote I was given was $650!!!!! I can't believe it!!! :0 Does anyone else think that is way over priced?

 

Has anyone else had a similar bouquet to the one I would like? How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking.

 

I am still in shock!!

WOW!!! That is outrageous!! Have you ever considered using real touch flowers?...You will save hundreds.

i'm using Real Touch Flowers and I'm having Orchids and Peonies and my bouquet is costing $85...my bridesmaids are the same just smaller and they are $75 and we are having hair flowers which are $10 each...amazing prices and no wilting!!!

That does seem over priced. But a few things to keep in mind: are those flowers easily available that time of year? Do they have to fly them in from a diffrent country, what size bouquet are you looking for, etc...

Outrageous - did she somehow misunderstand and give you a quote for 3-6 bouquets? I got married in Cabo (but still Mexico) and my peony and roses bouquet was almost a third of that price. Peonies are expensive in Cabo because they (like most flowers in Cabo) have to be imported, but since you are getting married in May, peonies are in season and there is not reason you can't have them. I would start shopping around.

I agree with Stacey...that price does seem high but those flowers are not local to Mexico and they are hard to get at that time of year. Realistically, that price is probably not too far off. AND they aren't only going to order 5 or 6 of each to make your bouquet...they would probably have to order them in bulk which adds to your bottom line.

I would do some research about what is easy to get in Mexico and during that time of year if you want real flowers for a cheaper price.

Sadly that sounds about right down there... I got quoted $300 for my cymbidium & tulips bridesmaids bouquets and stopped there and went straight to real touch flowers.

 

My bouquet is phalaenopsis orchids, cymbidium orchids, peonies & cala lillies, real touch for $100 and I'll keep it forever.

 

My bridesmaids bouqets also went from $300 to $50 each... oh and my 3 orchid stems in 3 vases went from $400 a table... yes seriously, to $25 for the 3 per table.

 

I highly recommend looking into real touch, they're gorgeous!

That is a little overpriced. This is why I'm doing real touch bouquets because I'm wanting cymbidium orchids, calla lilies, and plumerias. You may want to look into them to cut the costs.
