Anyone's FI not actually ask during proposal?

So I knew the proposal was coming but wasn't sure exactly when. Apparently my FI picked out the ring while visiting his sister and didn't actually get the ring until she came to visit us.

 

After she left he took the dog for a walk. During the walk he tied the ring and a piece of paper that said, "Will you marry my daddy?" around the dog's collar. When the walk was finished the dog ran up to me and I saw the piece or paper. My FI said the dog had something to ask me and never actually asked himself.

 

When I asked later on his proposal, my FI said he didn't think I could turn down the dog's cute face. And really, who could?

That is so cute... another nutty dog owner that refers to their dog as their children... we refer to ourselves as Mummy and Daddy when speaking to our dogs. FI thinks it's really funny to spazzed the dogs out and tell them to go love mummy, they both attack me with kisses and snuggles. Yeah so how could you say no? Did you get a picture for your scrapbook?
