Newly engaged, undecided, but with time on my hands

Although I am not paying for my wedding, we are budget-conscience. We were fully planning on Jamaica and had done a vast amount of research on resorts ourselves and with a travel agent. After further investigation, we found Mexico to have better deals.

Congrats! There's so much to worry about my fiance and I haven't decided on all the details yet either. I'm thinking Martha's Vineyard. I'm most concerned about what dress I'm going to wear, the photographer, food, how I'm going to decorate and the bridesmaid dresses!

HAHAHA! Your comment about the donkey made me laugh out loud! I'm sure if my husband and I were reading about the resorts and came across that info we'd both look at it each and be like, "hell yeah, that's where we're going", cause what's cooler on your wedding day then a donkey bringing you beer?!?!

Welcome and congrats! The way you save money on a destination wedding is usually because you have fewer people there...the costs can add up just as quickly as having a wedding back home. You can do it, you just need to be prepared for some sacrifices. Good luck!
