Yes, thats why they stopped, so we'd be alone. He told them the day before they flew out here. I can't believe that was only 2 weeks ago. I feel like I've been planning this wedding for months now!

My mom will be visiting in a few weeks so I'm excited to get to share the wedding planning fun with her.

Thanks for sharing your story! Engagement stories are always so much fun to read. My FI actually did something similiar, but we were in the mountains in Aspen skiing with my family. We went up for a few runs by ourselves, and that's when he proposed. When we skiied back down to our condo the whole family was there to celebrate with us!

I made a montage of our engagement pictures. I wanted to practice so I know how to do this when we have wedding pictures & a video. It was easier than I expected. I used Windows Movie Maker. I guess it comes with Windows, because it was already on my computer. If people are interested, I can explain how I did it. I should probably start a new post for that.
