Are there any other Calgary brides with their weddings coming up? This thread has been a bit dead. Anyway, I found this and thought I'd share. There's an even called the bridal swap next weekend where you can buy all kinds of used wedding items. This is the facebook page and the website:

I am a Calgary bride! What is this bridal swap exactly?!

Apparently people sell their wedding stuff, from decor to the dresses. I pretty much have everything I can haul already so I better not go haha but if you're in the early stages it's probably fun and useful!

Ya my wedding is just over 2 months away but the resort changes extra if you want a colored tablecloth or ribbons on your chairs! Which is crazy to me! So I thought maybe it would be cheaper to bring my own..... What to do what to do lol

Those changes at a cost are very standard :/ where the resorts, IMO, get carried away is with electricity fees and set up fees etc. Thankfully my resort didn't charge those extras but I did pay for the chair ribbons :)

Yeah I agree, a lot of them do charge that fee. It's silly really but anything that is not the standard white that they provide usually costs extra. I would maybe try and find something on eBay if you are ok bringing everything down. Maybe ask a rental company here in Calgary if they'll give you a deal because you have to take these things for a week. I think the easiest thing to bring down will be things like a table runner, rather than the whole table cloth.

Electricity fees! That's nuts! That's good that they didn't charge you!!! eBay sounds like a good idea! Thank you although every time I tell my fiancé that we'll be bringing this and that he gives me a look haha
