Thats exactly what my bridesmaid told me when I asked her if the veil I like was me. She told me wearing a big white dress isn't you either so it didn't really matter.

I say wear the earrings they are beautiful and will be amazing for your TTD pics.

You know, I actually considered becoming a broadcaster in high school mainly because someone would dress me and do my hair and make up everyday! hahaha

ha ha thanks ladies! it was just such an impulse purchase at about 8:45 yesterday, and I am still at work right now. I just started getting excited about the wedding coming up with so little time and money towards stuff I was like eh I am almost done (never mind that I still havent had my first fitting with 22 days to go... ha ha!) but now work and the politics of it is just driving me nuts. I actually really like what I do, and I believe everyone should as there are just too many hours in the day and no amount of money can make up for being miserable. Just last couple of months things keep coming down the pipe that stress me out and demotivate me to no end. I am trying to haul **s with 3 weeks to go and leave my desk clean and then hopefully with the holidays and catching up it will be a new year and a fresh start, but sigh, this just sucks! Sorry for the vent ladies, FH is also away for 3 days, and I havent been away from his for 2 nights in years! I know its lame but I miss him and with the shitty day that I am having I would just really love a hug.

Well I made an appointment to try dresses on at Ethos...OMG so bad!!!!!! The consultant was late and then when she arrived she was horrible. She had no idea what she was doing. I kept telling her destination dresses and she kept bringing me these big pouffy/heavy ball gowns if any dresses at all! My sister and friend found more dresses then her..so frustrating!!! It was so busy and overbooked, my sister and friend had nowhere to sit or stand and ended up in the dressing room with me because it was so crowded. Then the consultant would come back finally after being gone for like 30 mins and she would just rip open the curtain and come in, meanwhile I am in the middle of changing and I am pretty much naked and flashing everyone...OMG!!! Save your sanity and go elsewhere!! I have had great service at Mena's Bridal, Lovely Bridal and Deza's Bridal.

So sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience.  I have gone to Ethos and I also went with a friend.  We both had an ok time but we weren't there on a busy Sat.  I have also heard other horror stories about Ethos, seems like hit and miss with them.  I bought my dress at Cameo and Cuff links and really enjoyed each time I went in there.  Hope you can find your dress at one of the other stores because you deserve to be treated speical when looking for your wedding dress.  Good luck!!!!

Star18 - Yikes! So sorry to hear about your experience at Ethos. I have to say, Ethos was my least favourite place to try on dresses. I felt like the woman helping me was being pushy and wasn't really listening to what I wanted. She was acting like she knew exactly what I 'should' wear - we were not impressed! My mom and I kinda just rushed out at one point, and it was such a relief to leave! I loved Beautiful Bride (where I bought my dress) and Blissful Bridal the best (both on Macleod Tr), they both had great service and an amazing dress selection!

Ughhhhhh Ethos was terrible when I was there! Went with two of my bridesmaids, booked the appointment a MONTH in advance, when I got there, they had no consultant to help me! just bought my dress with my Mom on Friday at Cameo & Cufflinks. First place I ever went dress shopping, about a week after I got engaged. Brandie pulled the dress I ended up buying, NEVER would have tried it on without her! I recommend C&C to anyone looking for a dress (especially if you're lucky enough to get Brandi as a consultant...I've had others there that were NOT as helpful).

I had Brandi as a consultant at C&C and loved her!!!!!  I went in there with something in mind and she kept bringing me dresses that she would see what I like and ended up with my dress.  I love it soooo much and can't wait till it comes in so I can try it on again.  Star I hope you have a better time trying on dresses and I agree with Sandy that Beautiful Bride and Blissful Bride are great too.

Hi!!

I had a great experience at The Bridal House, but their destination dresses were over my budget.....

Then we went to Beautiful Bride on McLeod Trail, they were having a sample sale. I had a really bad experience, felt very uncomfortable, but ended up getting a dress from there since it was such a great deal (and it was a beautiful dress!!). I would have liked to try other places still but the sale was ending and we had to jump on it if we wanted the dress. It all happened so fast!!

I can't let myself try on any other dresses now because I would probably end up being that girl with 2 or 3 or 4 dresses.... LOL!! :) If only we could have it all!!!
