Sandy - you must, must, MUST get them done! First, you get gorgeous pictures. Second, it's a great way to practice and see what works for you and your FI in photos (angles, etc.). Third, it's soooooooomuch fun! My FI had me laughing for most of it, but it was such an amazing, intimate experience! How come you're on the fence?

Proti, those pics are fantastic!  I just got our engagement pics back last weekend and yours blow mine out of the water lol... i want a retake!

Super pretty engagement pictures! We never got any either its too late now anyway, but those are stunning! What a great memmory and keep sake!

It's never too late! Lost of couples are starting to do anniversary shoots, so that's always something to keep in mind! A great way to celebrate a milestone, and an excuse to get your hair and makeup done, dress up pretty and have some gorgeous photos to frame!

proti007- I'm not really on the fence, I definitely want to get them done! But FI doesn't really understand the purpose of them (he's such a boy, although he loves to help make wedding decisions, he doesn't get things like favors, colours, decorations, etc). I'm sure your pictures will help convince him though, so thanks for posting the link

 

cookie - what company did you guys use? I'd love to see some of the pics!

 

How much do e-shoots usually cost in Calgary? I'll have to start looking around (and trying to decide when to do it, might have to wait until it warms up again!).

Boo - our photographer gave us the option of doing an engagement session here, or casual shots on the beach a day or two before the wedding... we chose to do it here just because we wanted the pictures sooner, but you always have the option to do some engagement pictures on a beach prior to the wedding!

 

We used Gingersnap Photo (www.ginger-snap.com).  I'm not really comfortable with posting pics on a public forum, but I can PM a couple to you!  Sending to Proti and Sandy (if anyone else wants to see, let me know!)

 

As for what they cost, it depends a lot on the photographer.  Most of them include it in a wedding package.  I think its a great idea, we are both much more comfortable in front of a camera now (important before the big day!) and know what to expect from our photographer.

Our e-photos were included in our wedding package. We also get a photo shoot in Jamaica after the wedding.
