Oh that's exciting Boo! (and congrats on the 4 months mark!) Why can't they size an eternity ring? Is it because there are jewels all the way around it? You will have to post pics once you get it

hey gals....so i ended up checking out Ever After, Menas, Blissful Bidal and Beautiful Bride today.

 

Ever After didn't have a huge amount in my size to try on, but i tried on 2 dresses - one of which i had been interested in previously, but couldn't find one that would fit over my hips...lol. i really liked it, but would have loved to have been able to take a picture to show my peeps. dress shopping alone is difficult when they don't let you take photos. the ladies there were okay. very small shop, not a lot to chose from.

 

i then stopped at Mena's. it was nice, and the girls were very nice. Mena was doing a fitting with a gal, and she seems very very nice. i tried on 4 dresses, one of which i really liked, but does not suit my beach wedding at all....LOL. it would need a lot of changes to make it into what i want.

 

at Blissful Bridal i tried on 3-4. the girl helping me was nice, but the dresses there weren't fantastic, in my size anyhow.

 

and then Beautiful Bride. i didn't have an appointment and they were fully booked, so i just had a look at what they had. some GORGEOUS dresses (martina liana - love her!), but nothing in my size that i would be interested in.

 

i am glad i got to a few more shops, but i am not in love with anything yet!

I enjoyed Blissful bride. That was the first store I went into. It was a Saturday and soooo busy. I ended up going back almost 3 months later and the girl remembered me. I thought that was soo sweet. I did not like Beautiful Bride (beside Spence) I didn't have an appointment and the girl wouldn't let me in the store with out one WTF. So might be good to shop at if you have an appointment. I thought I had saved my spreadsheet at work, it's not there, I don't know where it is. I looked in the phone book and the place I could find is called Golden Brides. The address is 517 16th Ave NE. When you go into the doors you have to go up stairs and then you will see tons of dresses!!! Have fun dress shopping Pam

Hmm I called Beautiful Bride when I was making my appointments and they said I didn't need to make one for this Friday! Maybe I will give them another call...In any case, I will post a full report of my adventures after Friday! Thanks for your reviews girls, they are so helpful! I am getting more and more excited to go dress shopping (if that's even possible! lol)

I had fantastic service at Cameo and Cufflinks - Have you gone there?

 

I ended up finding my dress in a store in Edmonton, though.

I didn't realize appointments were needed at bridal stores! Good thing its been mentioned by a few of you

not all of the shops need appointments, but some do.

 

i would double check with Beautiful Bride though, they DEFINITELY need appts.

 

...and yes, Cameo and Cufflinks was definitely the best service, by far!
