Gran Porto Real vs. The Royal

I'm also leaning heavily towards the Royal but for guests with children who would have to walk to the Royal for the wedding, does anyone know how far a walk that is? I'm just thinking of high heels & all...

Hi girls,

I'm getting married at the Royal but am also presenting the option of staying at the Gran to my guests. This was a good compromise for us because we really wanted the upscale feel of an all-adults resort but didn't want to exclude my under-18 cousins. The resorts are literally right next to each other and share a beach. I don't think that it will be difficult at all for your guests to come over for the wedding.

Hi I would like feedback on the Beach area near the Pelicanos (Royal property) VS the North Beach (Gran Porto) property? I need to decide what beach location I would like for my wedding ceremony. I was told that the beach near Pelicanos is more private than other beaches on the Real resorts property and I do prefer a more private setting for the ceremony. However, we will be staying at the Gran Porto resort as we have our son with us, but they want add'l $450 to do our ceremony at beach near Pelicanos at the Royal since we are not staying at the Royal. Is it worth it to pay the $450 to have our beach ceremony near the Pelicanos beach area? Thanks
