What do I do now??

My ex wife and I sperated and then applied for a divorcein 2007. But I did not get my Divorce Certificate till January 11 2009.

 

Does anyone know of places in Mexico or Dominican Republic where I can still remarry even though my Certificate is under 1 year?

From what I understand....in mexico different states have different rules, but I know Cancun is 1 year.

I think the 1 year is pretty standard for Dominican Republic (or is it 10 months??); this is to ensure the woman is not pregnant...in which case, you might get away with 9 months. I do not know about Mexico. Your best bet is to talk to the WC's of the resorts you are interested in and see if they are willing to count the 10-12 months from the filling date instead of the date of the receipt of the certificate.

 

You can always do a symbolic ceremony regardless of your marital status at whatever date.
