Plus, with 5 restaurants you're sure to find something you like :) I have the wedding menus, let me know if you'd like to see them.
I have definitely decided on this resort and and contacted the wedding coordinator. I haven't heard from her yet though and yes, it would be very useful if I could view the wedding menus - thanks chevy14!

Also, if the food is bland, a sprinkling of paprika might help! I feel so rushed right now because we are getting married in February and just made a decision on a location!

LOL Of course, that all depends on everyone's priorities. :)

SuperKate, Cuba is actually usually less expensive than Mexico for us Canadians.
I agree RonNMel, I am not really into food myself but I have 3 girlfriends who o loooooove food hence I need to make sure they will find the food acceptable.

And yes, i was surprised at the cost when booking from Toronto

Congrats on your engagement!!... just so you will know to check.. when you get to that point of looking at actual prices, in my experience (we tried for Valentines Day) it was 1/2 the price to go the weekend before... apparently its the most popular wedding day of the year? I am sure you will create your dream :)

Happy planning!

I totally agree with JWilke5. Mexico is a great spot that is totally affordable, good food, lots to do and can be as exotic as you want it to be! Another option might be the Dominican Republic or Tobago. Good luck & congrats!

Thanks so much futuremrsgoodrich for this information! I had checked some variations of dates for end of January and the weekend of valentines day and there wasn't really much difference when flying from Toronto ($20-$50).
