Transporting Real Touch Flower Centerpieces

Any suggestions how to transport the real touch flower centerpieces? I bought some flower centerpieces from another BDW bride (they are great) and to ship them, she had them wrapped in bubble wrap around the vase and the bubble wrap laid over the flowers. Still, two of the vases broke. I am getting married in the Riviera Maya and was wondering how to transport them. I heard that people sometimes have customs problems shipping to mexico and therefore plan to take them in my suitcase(s) (they amke take up two). Any thoughts?

I am planning on bringing Rubbermaid containers with all my stuff down to Mexico. That way they are in a protective case and I can just leave them down there if I don't bring everything home. I am planning on checking the containers as bags on the plane.

I was thinking of getting cheap hat boxes at Ross and giving the BM's their bouquet prior so I don't have to worry about it and putting mine in a hat boxing carring it on the plane. That's tough though if you have centerpieces too eeeee.... I would try to bring as little as possible to relieve the stress and extra costs. Hope this helps!
