Hi Beach2013,

My Name is Varsha and I was once a Indian DW bride. After planning and coordinating my own wedding from A-Z (because the wedding coordinators at the hotels did not know much at all about my needs) I decided to open my own DW planning company. I specialize in Indian weddings and offer everything from A-Z. Some of the services include Indian food catering, Mehndi, Horse hiring, DJ, Lights, entertainment systems, Indian style gazebo, hair, makeup etc.

please PM me or email me at [email protected] or [email protected]

Happy planning :)

Any dos and donts?

Hi Beach2013,

Both locations are fabulous but we recently had the pleasure to capture a traditional Indian Wedding at the Grand Velas Riviera Maya.

The Grand Velas Weddings Team ([email protected]) did a superb job coordinating all the details and the property can easily accommodate a large wedding party. Here are  a few images to help you dream about your big day:

Hey all,

This is my first post - my fiance and I are looking to get married around January 2014 and struggling with one BIG thing.  We need a fully Indian, vegetarian menu.  We are looking at the Grand Velas - SO BEAUTIFUL =) and I know they have experience with Indian weddings.  However, I am not sure if they offer the type of food we are looking for.  If anyone could share any information that would be amazing!

Thanks

Nishi

Hi Nishi,

The latest Hindu wedding we shot at was at the JW Marriott.  They had their food catered by the hotel and Taste of India which is an Indian restaurant in Cancun.  The food was excellent!

Here are some of the other vendors we worked with.

Wedding Planner - Elite Events Management

Venue - JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa

Caterer - JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa
Caterer - Taste of India
Hair/Make-Up - MVP
Decorator - Weddings by Zuniga
Sound/Lighting -  AVP
Mehndi - Darcy Vasudev
DJ - DJ Suj
Priest - Vimesh Thakker   - (played the priest in the movie Picture Perfect with Jennifer Aniston)

Elite Events Management spent a year planning the wedding and did an excellent job and were incredibly nice!    The decorator took care of the flowers which I thought were really lovely.
All of the vendors were top notch!

Happy Planning!
Jennifer

Hello BDW Community!

I'm so excited to have found this site!
My fiance and I are planning our Hindu/Indian wedding for Jan or Feb 2014. Our preferred DW locations are both in Mexico- Cabo and Cancun. Does anyone have any personal experiences with resorts in either Cabo or Cancun which can handle Hindu wedding events exceptionally well?

Also, we're expecting 225-250 guests... Any recommendations for resorts in Cabo or Cancun with this kind of capacity?

I'm trying my best to learn the site, so I hope I found the appropriate place for my first post!

Thanks,
Mexico2014
