Ivory dress - grooms & groomsmen attire?

So, if I wear an Ivory dress should the groom (and groomsmen) wear a white or ivory shirt? The groom will have a tan linen suit but the groomsmen will not have on a suit.

I would suggest if your dress is ivory that he wear an ivory shirt as well. If he wears white your dress might just look dirty...ykwim? That's something that my FI didnt want to do. My dress is "natural" which is ivory like. We are doing a grey pants and jacket (for him) with light pink shirt and fuscia/grey tie..since our colours are pink.

I have the same thing. My dress is ivory and the men are wearing ivory shirts. I thought white would throw off my dress color in the pictures.

I am wearing a ivory dress so my FI is wearing black suit with ivory vest and bow tie.

yeah I say the same - but we got around this by having the groomsmen wear yellow and FI is going to wear a gray shirt.

My dress was ivory & my hubby wore a tan suit with a white shirt & a tie that had ivory & teal (our color), then the gm wore just tan linen pants & a white linen shirt & the pics looked fantastic imo. Good luck!

I didn't even think about that. I tried a tan suit on Chris and the color didn't suit him very well. I was going to put the guys in linen pants and Chris a white suit and the others in a different color. Any suggestions??

I have an ivory dress as well and FI is going to wear a white shirt and beige linen pants I think. My thought was that the contrast in his colours will balance out my dress colour. Our bridesmaids are in dark purple and the groomsmen are in med-dark purple w/ black linen pants, so FI and I will kind of be polar opposites to them wearing all light colours.

I apparently didn't even think of this but my dress is metallic so I dont even know what color it is, and my FI is wearing a white shirt under his linen suit. I just assummed it would look ok?! All the groomsmen are wearing white shirts and beige pants as well.. I think it will work out. I dont like the look of ivory shirts personally, they don't look as clean
