Tungsten wedding bands

My FI just purchased a tungsten band for himself and I wanted to let anyone who is searching for a tungsten retailer know what I great experience we had with the company we bought his ring from. We ordered his ring online from Tungsten World: Tungsten Rings ~ Men's Tungsten Carbide Ring (Tungsten Wedding Bands) . We were a bit nervous ordering something as important as his ring online, but didn't have a lot of choice because the only jeweler in our (small) town wasn't able to order him a ring in his size (14) from her supplier. He did quite a bit of research and picked this company because they offer a life time warranty in case the ring has to be removed or replaced for any reason (even if it's just your finger changing size) and because they seemed to be pretty well reviewed. The customer service was excellent, and FI's ring got here pretty quickly (less than two weeks) especially considering that it had to go through customs to get to Canada and that we live in a very remote area. Unfortunately the initial ring he ordered was a bit too loose (if in doubt, order the smaller size from these guys as I think they run slightly large in size) so he had to send it back for a smaller size. That was completey hassle free- he got his replacement ring very quickly also and it was perfect! He had to pay for shipping the first ring back and a $35 restocking/ shipping charge to change his ring- they let you know this up front so it wasn't a big deal at all. The ring is great quality, looks exactly like it did on the website and was much cheaper than the ones in the jewelery store even if you include the shipping and the fee we paid to change sizes. It comes in a really nice dark wood ring box, too, very nice touch. Awesome company! I recomend them highly. Hope this helps anyone who's considering a tungsten ring- don't waste your money paying retail prices at the jewelery stores if you don't need to!

Thank you for sharing this! My FI is looking at Tungsten rings and we almost ordered the one he wanted this past weekend but our jeweler said it wasn't lifetime warranty which is what he had read online, so I've been looking to order his off line to get the lifetime warranty instead. Our jeweler said we could only change it once and I was like umm yeah we're not doing this.

thanks for the information. We have been looking for a good place to order a tungsten ring from, and it is always nice to know you had no problems shipping to Canada either.

I know of several guys who have tungsten wedding bands, and not one has anything negative to say- they look great too!

thanks for the site Mel! Fi saw a black tungsten ring at a store a few weeks ago that I wasn't too sure if I liked, although i didn't have a problem with the tungsten part at all. But when I looked through this site, I found the ones that are silver in the middle and black on the outside and I really liked it. And so does he! So once we figure out what size he needs, we'll be ordering his too!

I'll second the positive review about Tungsten World. My husband was dead set on a Tungsten Carbide ring and that's what he got. The shipping was extremely quick and secure (Fed-ex wouldn't leave it at our door so I had to go after work to get it). I had a few questions ahead of time and the service was always quick and friendly.

 

For our move to Africa we thought a plain band would be best for me. Amazingly enough they have the same ring as DH's in a women's size and that's what I got. It's a perfect ring. It fits great, feels great, and always looks great. I will say in order to get a ring sized down so much it cost us extra money but I really love the band.
